Description: This renovation of all finishes in the Omnimax Theater and Projection Room posed a unique set of challenges. Several normally long-lead items needed to be finished in a very short time frame. What's more, we had to keep specific areas dust free to protect the theater equipment. Plus, we worked on two different levels and had to coordinate the staging of the project so the museum could remain open during construction.

Description: Extreme sports require extreme construction. Take this 13,000 SF Concrete Skate Boarding Park, for instance. The only one of its kind in Charlotte, it required specially sloped concrete – in addition to extensive clearing, grading, and storm drainage. We also put up block retaining walls, vinyl coated fencing, benches, bleachers and sun shades, and we renovated the toilets to comply with ADA.

Description: For this job we were charged with creating a new Park and Ride Lot for the City of Charlotte. Work included clearing and grading the 4.25 acre site, constructing an underground storm water detention system and creating a 326-space asphalt parking lot with all the associated drives. We were also responsible for sanitary sewer extension – as well as building block retaining walls, eight rain gardens, the drivers’ comfort station and an 800 SF custom structural steel canopy. We also installed bike racks, public artwork, a security camera system and the exterior lighting and did all the landscaping.

Description: Streamline was awarded the job of upfitting the conference room at the North Mecklenburg Water Treatment Facility into a hands-on educational facility. Work consisted of replacing the flooring, installing sound-absorbing ceiling panels, and theatrical lighting. We also set up educational, interactive displays which explained the water and waste process.

Description: Can you say "All Aboard?" This 100-year-old masonry veneer train station was moved a quarter of a mile. Streamline built the new masonry foundation with brick which perfectly matched the original and painstakingly maintained the existing brick above floor level. We also replaced damaged portions of the existing structure, installed a handicap accessibility ramp and replaced the old shingles with replica metal shingles.

Description: The new Transit Center for the City of Charlotte incorporates beautiful African-American artwork throughout the building and the site. Our work on the project included the pre-cast concrete and storefront -- as well as the ticket and security building, the custom steel and glass bus shelters, bike racks, and street widening for bus lanes. We also installed the security camera system, exterior lighting and did all the landscaping.

Description: For this undertaking, we totally removed the existing restroom building and replaced it with a modern new ADA Compliant Facility -- including load bearing block walls with brick veneer, a wood truss roof, a custom built timber truss entrance, waterless urinals -- plus light sensors and a concrete sidewalk.

Description: Our challenge on this job was to convert a two-story office building into several courtrooms as well as offices for the Register of Deeds and District Attorney. We reused existing doors and trim whenever possible and made certain any new materials matched the existing wood. We also replaced the roofing -- all while the EMS Operations Facility remained in operation.
